I decided to try the roast beef. I love a good roast and it seemed relatively simple.
I heated a half an inch of olive and regular vegetable oil in my dutch oven.
While that was heating, I added salt and pepper to my roast.
I browned the seasoned meat on all sides, then removed it from the pan.
I poured off most of the oil and added chicken stock, bay leaves, and an onion cut in half. I brought that to a boil and added the roast back.
I put the whole thing in the oven and let it roast for about an hr and a half.
I swear I took pictures of the finished dish but I can’t find them. It looked nice and tasted great. I would definitely make this again.
